What new may we expect from music artists?

In 2021, many musicians are ready to surprise their fans with new songs and albums. Last year’s lockdown and restrictions in some countries this year were a great opportunity for many artists to work and record new songs. In this article, we’ll tell you about the release of the most anticipated albums of 2021, many of which you can already buy and listen to.

We hope that soon we’ll be able to hear new songs live at the concert of our favourite artists and the presentation of new albums will also take place at live concerts as before. But in the meantime, we provide an opportunity to get acquainted with new music online. We have compiled a list of the 10 most anticipated albums of 2021, based on the results of music critics and fan voting. It includes the following musicians and albums:

Tracks Making the Stage in 2021

  • 1) Drake – Certified Lover Boy
  • In August 2020, Drake revealed the name of his sixth studio recording, it’s Certified Lover Boy. Then followed the teaser of Laugh Now Cry Later and the statement that the new material will be a continuation of the double lp Scorpion from the already distant 2018. So far, the work of Aubrey Graham is only losing its success with critics, and, despite the million-dollar dividends, most consider his early works from the early 2010s to be the best in his career.

  • 2) Slowthai – Tyron
  • the best grime music

Slowthai has been a breath of fresh air for British music over the past two years-reviving grime in hip-hop. And for his new album, he managed to assemble a truly stellar line-up of producers and artists James Blake, Skepta, A$AP Rocky, Denzel Curry, and Deb Never. The previous release received an authoritative nomination for the Mercury Prize, and the features with Gorillaz, Rico Nasty and Disclosure confirmed Tyrone Frampton as a world-class star.

  • 3) Foo Fighters – Medicine at Midnight
  • The new record promises to be a collection of energetic rock anthems: the first tracks can rock the stadiums, it remains only to wait until they open to visitors. The band Foo Fighters is led by Nirvana drummer David Growl.

  • 4) Lana Del Rey – Chemtrails Over the Country Club
  • Lana Del Rey continues a successful nostalgic journey through the illusory America of the 1940s and 1950s. Despite all the increasing scandals, both her latest album and the first single of the new one are made on the conscience. In the video for Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Lana turns into a werewolf.

  • 5) Travis Scott – Utopia
  • Expectations from Travis Scott after the success of Astroworld and a dozen advertising deals are high, but so far there is no chance to even evaluate the possible material. Fans are especially pleased that the American rapper managed to work on the record in Mexico, when several rising stars Rody Rich, Future and Kevin Parker from Tame Impala were also there.

  • 6) Madlib – Sound Ancestors
  • American rap producer and artist Madlib and electronic musician from Sweden Four Tet live on different continents, but their friendship and cooperation, mainly through email, do not interfere. The result should be a mixture of R’n’B and complex beats with high-quality sound engineering and multi-layered electronic music. Both members ‘ recent solo work has been extremely successful, and the joint album Madlib and Freddie Gibbs-Bandana, in general, was probably one of the best in 2019, so the quality bar should not be lowered.

  • 7) Weirdberry – Rosemary Loves a Blackberry
  • New tracks, homages, and several music videos will be added to the material that many of you have already listened to. There is every chance that Diana’s productivity will bring another release in 2021, but if it does not, then the multi-genre and atmospheric electronics of Weirdberry should be enough for fans for a whole year.

  • 8) Mogwai – As the Love Continues
  • Particular post-rock from Scotland fascinates with its instrumental arrangements and cool vocals. By the time of recording, the quintet had said goodbye to its permanent producer, and the recording themselves during quarantine. Whether this will affect the quality or the experienced group will continue to produce extremely entertaining, but rather monotonous material, we will find out after listening.

  • 9) Julien Baker – Little Oblivions
  • Julien Baker is a bright representative of the same tradition with a noticeable writing talent and subtle acoustic arrangements. The first tracks from the new album by Julien Baker continue the motifs developed in Boygenius: compared to the old solo work, the arrangements have become more vivid, the instruments have been added, even if the themes are still as heavy — including depression and addiction.

  • 10) J. Cole – The Fall Off
  • Along with his sixth album, J. Cole has announced his far-reaching plans: he is ready to finish three more big projects and stop recording and performing. Recall that all of his previous albums have gone platinum. And with the project Revenge of the Dreamers III, he was even nominated for a Grammy. However, now the rapper from North Carolina has returned to solo work and released the first songs of The Fall Off.
